IITs are a legacy and a symbol of knowledge and learning not only in India but around the world. Specifically, IIT Bombay has a rich historical dimension to it being the first IIT to be established with the aid of foreign funds from UNESCO and the Soviet Union in the year 1958, subsequently being declared as an Institution of National Importance by the parliament. IIT-B Executive Education is part of its CEP (Continuous Education Program) and offers multiple short term courses in varied disciplines for executives and corporates.
Under the banner of CEP, these courses would be contemporary in appealing to the present & future challenges of the world, robust in terms of the fidelity of technological & management knowledge, the availability of an inter disciplinary convergence of subjects and an experiential peer to peer interaction with bright and like minded minds. In order to delineate the value and project the right perception of these courses, Pineapple was brought in to create the brand identity and communications design for IIT-B Executive Education.
The branding was created to effortlessly convey the brand promise and value proposition i.e. educational programs designed for corporates; aimed at enhancing the existing knowledge base of their employees. The visual imagery and communication was required to have an appeal & affinity to this audience.
Given that the IIT’s best minds and experienced professors are part of the programs, the association of these programs being modern, contemporary and having a cutting-edge feel to it was crucial.
