    Crompton has strived to be reckoned as a future-ready, innovative brand by regularly launching new and relevant products. With the rise in the global penetration of smart devices and a shift in consumer preferences, Crompton launched its range of smart lighting products. Aligned with this business objective, Pineapple set out to build a seamless experience across products across devices.

    In a potentially competitive landscape, this therefore would be a key differentiator in securing repeat purchase and an increase in CLV (Customer Lifetime Value). With this in mind, Pineapple designed a clean and effective UI+UX for Crompton’s app to manage their upcoming range of smart electrical products.

    The app boasts of a simple information architecture so that users from a diverse demographic and psychographic background find it easy to – a. Connect their smart devices, b. Seamlessly use it. The challenge was to not just create an app, but create one that delights upon usage. The user journey, navigation, interface and design aesthetics were created keeping in mind the same.

    This ensured meeting Crompton’s business objective of having the app as an aid to product sales and not as a by-product of it. Such that a first time user would want to be a part of the ecosystem, would look forward to toggling his home lighting on his way from work and have a pain-point resolved which he never thought existed.

    This was an opportunity to have a deeper brand connect with the consumer by facilitating a smooth information flow blended with the umbrella brand messaging = ‘Let’s hangout Ghar Pe’. The core messaging was reinforced by creating a pleasurable user experience.

    Crompton, having made a name by being at the forefront of future driven products, launched their ‘Star Lord’ range of Smart LED panels. The objective was to conceptualise a product video that launched & introduced the product, conveyed its major selling points and created a visual perception of a future driven product proposition in keeping with the product identity of ‘Star Lord’.

    Pineapple helped Crompton launch the ‘Star Lord Smart LED Panel’ with an immersive 3D motion graphics video. The video was created keeping in mind the product identity and positioning that Pineapple envisioned with Crompton. What’s more is that this was done in a record time from ideation, storyboarding to actual execution.
